My Curl Story
As a naturally curly girl myself, I know first-hand that the relationship with your curls isn't always an easy one.
Growing up in the 80s and 90s, there was very little understanding of how to look after naturally curly hair. Like so many curly girls, I spent years trying to make my hair do something it simply wasn't designed to do — and I've had my fair share of traumatic salon experiences along the way!
Those experiences are a huge part of why I'm so passionate about curls today.
I wanted to really understand curly hair — how different curl patterns and textures behave, how the right cutting techniques can completely change the way curls sit, and how working with your natural texture rather than fighting against it can make such a difference.
Over the years I've continued to learn, train and develop my skills in specialist curly cutting, but for me, being a curl specialist is about much more than giving you a great haircut.
My philosophy is simple…
Work with what you've got, not against it.
I want to help you understand your own hair — because no two heads of curls are the same.
I'll help you learn how to manage your natural curls, waves or texture, show you how to bring out the best in them, and give you the knowledge and confidence to recreate your curls at home.
No complicated routines. No trying to turn your hair into something it isn't.
Just understanding what your hair needs.
Because ultimately, I want you to leave my chair feeling confident, knowing what to do with your curls and, most importantly…
learning to love the hair that's naturally yours.

Jenny joined the team 8 years ago. She is a very passionate team member, working part time. Originally a makeup-artist and hair styling expert, she then went on to train and develop her skills and knowledge to qualify at HNC Level hairdressing. She won first place at the national award doing fantasy hair through West Lothian college.

Specialities/Passions - painting faces as well as painting hair. Jenny loves a vivid colour or doing big colour changes as well as creating avantgarde looks, recently winning a regional award for her talent.

Lisa has decades of experience in all cutting and loves colour balayage/Highlights and recently been trained in curly hair by Tina.
